GenCon 2011 finished up today (Sunday, August 7th), and estimates right now place attendance at somewhere between 35,000 and 40,000 people. For those who don't know - GenCon is a RPG / Board Gaming convention that takes place in Indianapolis, IN. There are some PC gaming companies that attend, though very few of them set up any large booths or whatnot as GenCon is not generally for computer gaming. That being said though, imagine my surprise when I found out that every attendee received a full copy of Rift in their free "bag of swag"!

Looks like Trion decided to step up their marketing to draw in some new players! COTP Recruiters - this is your time to shine!

If TRION put some more work into the pvp side of this game, and made a larger land scape all on one server, they would rule! 8-)
