there are no guilds but u can form groups with your LIVE friends and do co-op missions or 2v2 pvp. You can also visit your friends city and do quests there to help bot yourself and your friend

I used to love AoE back in the day, so I thought I would test this out. After installed the LIVE client on my computer, I got the error message saying I needed the hotfix from the xbox.com site. Ok, so I download it and - it doesn't even work. I just get a message saying "The updatebr.inf file is invalid". Good thing the hotfix is broken.

EDIT: I did some more research and found out that games within Windows Marketplace do not support XP64 (my OS). They completely refuse to even provide installers for it. Yay Microsoft.

I really enjoyed this game at first, until the *massive* glitches started rearing their heads. So, it's an online game - which means there is no "save game" option. About 45 mins into one of the maps, my Mumble glitched out and I alt-tabbed to fix it. BOOM. The Age of Empires game crashed, and when I started it again I had to start the entire level over (45 mins wasted). I also kept getting a lot of server lag while playing the game.

I think I'll give them a month or so to get their crap together before I play any more on this one.

well i played to lvl 12 or 13.... then i figured out i cant use any of the good items blue and higher unless i pay them 20$ screw that they can keep there game.

Played this game for a little bit myself as an avid AoE fan. Personally, the game is very disappointing in most regards.

How is the server? Is it like MMOs where there servers with different populations?

Theres free transfers which is cool, and its more like AoE with matches just being quests. Its kinda like the old campaigns from AoE1 and 2, certain buildings locked till certain missions.
