When attempting to add "KS GunValkyrie - (COTP Forums Name: "alpha2male") - Level 23" to my friends list, I get an error message that there is no such person...

Not sure if I will be playing, but I have installed and made an account...

There most certainly is! The COTP Mumble setup guide can be found HERE. The channel names are in alphabetical order so League of Legends is towards the top.

The members list has been updated. I know Vornoth and Alkyru have friends outside of COTP that game with us from time to time as well. The challenge is getting everyone online at the same time for a pre-form match.
