I posted this in the mmo's forum section but since there was a few people discussing Guildwars 2 the other night I though I'd post it here as well

incidentally it makes you download a scanner that does a dxdiag, you need to run this as admin (or at least I did on win7) in order for it to be able to send.

I am beyond eager. I knew Arena Net was announcing something today and new it about when they would announce it and I still could not sleep last night

I read a RUMOR that this sign up is only good for 48 hours from when it first posted. I plan to sign up when I get home tonight.

That is not a rumor that is fact. Signup went live at 10 AM PST today so they are open until 10 AM PST Friday

Thanks for the confirmation. I was able to sign up. With this particular invite, you needed to be on a PC computer to submit your application, due to it running a dxdiag type of system profiling program. I know that you know that. I'm pointing this out to others who haven't signed up yet. At work, I use a MAC and couldn't sign up for the invite while on that MAC. But was able to quickly do so at home on my PC. I'm looking forward to this game.

That is correct. They said a long time ago that they had a small group looking into the possibility, but the first and for most goal is to make a great PC game. I know recently an article came up saying they were going to do it in which the community team at Arena Net started saying once again that is correct.

Will it be on consoles? Maybe. But it wont affect the game like it did in DCUO
