What a breathe of fresh air for the Vanguard Chapter. Free to Play along with new content will attract more players to the game, including new and veteran players of the game.

I know that I wil return. It would be nice if they created the pvp server again.

hehe playing atm actually although you prob don't remember me. Was on sartok either late 2007 or early 2008 with the guild.

i don't know if f2p is really gonna draw that many ppl, have to remember a lot of ppl are on limited bandwidth, and vg is 17+ gig download.

Oh, I think the f2p will bring a bunch of people back along with enticiing new people to try the game out. I can foresee our chapter taking off again.

LOL, people are downloading 25gigs worth of files, just to play weekend open events.

17gigs for something that one can play on a regular basis isn't so bad.

I expect to be returning to this along with a few other friends of mine. It was such a nice game... really attracted all of us to it.

hehe well in canada most internet service providers or at least the big 2 ie bell and rogers have bandwidth limits. I will give you a for instance on bell. $43.99 or there abouts for 6gbs connection but your limited to 25gig per month which is insane. Not that i am with bell but Jeepers something needs to be done with our internet up here:)

Anyway it prob will help the game people will check it out more I think esp if the new content makes people take a look. But what I am worried about is what f2p will do to the game in terms of what they will add to the store to buy etc. and how it will affect people that still subscribe. Ie there has to be a benefit to subbing and the store should not include items that give them an advantage esp over people who are subbing as subbed accounts should not need to use the store to be equal and in fact maybe should have some advantage over anything that can be got off store or why sub. Its going to all depend on how they implement it. Ei not sure it was a good idea to nerf rudolf the way they did although I am not sure its a bad thing they did it just not how they did it. They should have gave some notice on it like a month to give some time to get real flying mount or whatever.

Also hope they do not change how fighting works etc ie it should stay hard to kill mobs solo that are not supposed to be soloed ie leave that the same:) To many what everyone calls kiddies will complain its to hard to do this or that and then devs will give in and make things easy and make it hard for players to get killed which is bad, keep that part like it is.
I know several people who went to swtor and lasted less then amonth as they found it to easy ie it was almost impossible to die in the game so it made it boring.

It's not so bad once you get rolling! My friar is up to lvl 34.

If I remember right it takes the same amount of xp lvl 1 to lvl 40, as it does to get from lvl 40 to lvl 50 in Daoc. So lvl 40 is really the half way point.
