While browsing an archive of old DAoC videos I found a rare gem: one of the only pre-ToA videos ever made of an Albion group taking on high realm rank enemies in 8v8.
These guys are playing with a rule set very similar to what we use here on Uthgard. They're running 2 clerics, 2 mercenaries, paladin, minstrel, theurgist, sorcerer. (Video is filmed by the sorcerer.)
I found it an entertaining and nostalgic watch. I love the old-school look with everyone in their guild colors instead of wearing the ubiquitous ToA armors and cloaks. Perhaps some day soon I'll have a video like this with everyone in red and gold.

That's a different video made later by the same guild. The one I posted is from pre-ToA, which more closely mirrors the Uthgard ruleset. It's not on Youtube as far as I can tell. The link is to an FTP site, but the owner has made it publicly available for people who want to download the videos there.

I like the video, but man do they leave that sorc alone a lot!
Also, PBT... awesome. makes me want to play around with a theurg alt.
not my experience at all. I seem to get trained fast and hard when the group knows what they are doing.
