I found this fps somedays ago. Havent tested yet, but looks very interesting...

It goes on somewhere in russia, on a zombie outbreak. You have to find things to survive (water and beans!) and avoid the zombie hordes and bandits (PK players). Its perma-death and there is a score on the longest living players (around 100 hrs) the average life-time is about 30min...

Anyone playing it?

really need more ppl to start out the game with cause just going alone is hard as hell, cause with the latest version you start out with no weapons!

From what I read and saw about this, it really got my interest. I got to try it out and the mod is really hard, on a game that's several years old. It can be pretty scary, and fun.The interface is akward to get use to. The game's realism makes it difficult. It's not slick, or polished like BF3 or a COD game. It's still considered an Alpha. But the pay off with the tension, suspense and terror it creates is quite something to experience. It gave me nightmares the first time I played it. I hope the mod continues to mature and get better. I don't think everyone trying it is going to like it, due to it still being a work in progress.

They really need to put in a starter weapon, even if it is only a melee one. I think it would help starting off with the game.

This mod looks really cool. Anyone know what the min specs are to run this?

There are three distinct types of players for this mod. Survivors (players who just try to stay alive as long as possible), Bandits (PKers) and now "Medics" (players that will aid other players). Read the article below.

It uses the Arma2 game engine. And you'll have to buy both Arma2 and Arma2 Operation Arrowhead for the mod to work. You can download the demo's of both those games from Steam and try it out. Though you can't use the mod with the demos. There is a big choice of graphics customization, to help make it more playable on one's gaming rig. Though if your rig can handle it, the higher graphics settings help make things more immersive and realistic.

I love this game, me and xanoric have been playing none stop as of late... Nothing like finding a sniper rife, fixing up a car and leaving it out as bait for other players. Get all kinds of new toys that way

What version of Arma II is needed to play the Day Z mod? Steam has Arma II and Arma II: Operations Arrowhead for $11.99 each. I might pick it up to give this mod a try.
