lysserian
Hello all! Been playing SWTOR since day one, but this is my first time joining a guild! So excited! I don't know where to start. Do I have to have Mumble? My install isn't giving me a desktop icon. Also, how does the guild name appear in game? Do I need to contact someone? Can you tell how "new" I am
Boshu
You don't have to have mumble but we encourage it I am not the techy guy but you could always try again. There are very specific instructions on our forums We are cotp or covenant of the Phoenix on pub side. Empire it's empire of the Phoenix
lysserian
I got mumble to work, just don't know if I understand how to use it. Do I need to request an invite while in game to get in the guild? How do I do that? How do I run the game in a window and mumble at the same time? Sorry I have so many questions. Phyreblade
Welcome! Mumble is helpful, yes. Many of us "hang out" in there and it's purely easy to find someone to help you when you can just ask straight out. Plus our conversations can be pretty fun. Not sure why it didn't give you a desktop icon, though. Bear in mind, the first time you log on, you may need some help getting your tags so you can jump between channels. In game, we have a couple options for your characters: (1) Main guild is on Republic side, and it's called Covenant of the Phoenix.(2) Alt guild is on Republic side, for our alt characters due to the 500 character maximum SWTOR puts on guilds. Alt guild is called Ascent of the Phoenix. (3) Imperial side guild is called Empire of the Phoenix. To find an officer at any time, try using COTP chat. It's a custom chat channel, that's set up on both factions of the game, although it's typically only used for guild invites / to find an officer over on Imperial side. On Republic side, it's used often for general chatting between the two guilds. To join, use /cjoin cotp. And, no, I can't at all tell you're new, lol.
