In the time honored traditions of both sea and space, they both need names and a christening/naming ceremony. If you'd like to have the honor of naming our flagships, please submit your ideas for either or both ships. Make sure you specify which ship the name should apply to. Officers will vote to select the best name submitted for each of the ships. We will then have a christening/naming ceremony during each ship's launch party where we will officially name each ship. In game, the ship name will be displayed as: Flagship: "Name". 1. Each person is limited to one name submission for each flagship. So each submission may have a maximum of two names, one for the Republic flagship and one for the Empire flagship. You don't have to submit a name for each flagship if you don't want to. 2. We reserve the right to eliminate any submitted names that are deemed inappropriate. 3. If there are more than ten submissions for each flagship, Officers will vote for their top ten favorite submissions, and then those submissions will be put up to a vote of the members. 4. Cutoff for name submissions will be Monday, August 25 at 12PM (Noon) EDT 5. Winners will be announced after the vote of the members concludes. I read that officers make the choices regarding the decisions, I am just unsure how exactly the final choices will be handled. If we want to be able to name the ship on Sunday the name will have to be decided on by officers, as there wouldn't be enough time for people to vote (members rarely visit the forums on the weekend). If everyone wants to wait a week or so then we can put it up for a vote after the officers trim the list, so any feedback on this would be appreciated.
