Weldy
So as it says above, went off to do the trial for 2 weeks and almost half way done. Was wondering if you all could toss out what you enjoy most at the point you all are playing at right now.
Animastryfe
Hello, here is an excellent compilation of people's responses to this question. I note that you are an Eve player. Eve and FFXIV are on the opposite sides of the spectrum of sandbox versus themepark MMOs. If you like the WoW-style themepark MMOs, then I think you will enjoy FFXIV; in my mind it is the best one out there.
Ahmira Soulrage
Its a good game, I think the trial doesn't give it true justice though. Capping at 20, even on all classes, doesn't show the real gameplay. I don't do the main raid, coil of bahamat, but I do crystal tower and just started working on extreme primals. Its a blast, specially as I have 3 50s to toy around on the content, with others in the works. With its expansion sometime this spring (guessing early june personally) there will be three more jobs, an additional 10 levels, and even more fun things to do. ArsenixTG
I agree with Ahmira, the real game for me started around level 30 where I got my first job class. The quests for the main story and classes tend to get more tense and the actual job gets way more abilities than your original class making it super fun to play. For me, the biggest thing is definitely the extreme primal fights available at level 50. a raid with no lockout for a group of 8 that always drops loot and is super fun. Yes please. TheLustyLimbaugh
I agree with Arsenix mainly, I only truly started loving the game once i stepped into the hardest fights in the game, things like Titan Extreme Mode, The Coils of Bahamut, etc. The way to 50 and gearing up there may be a bit of a grind but it is fun all the same with a group of people to do it with or at least to talk to while doing it. The people that surround you make or break the game imo, and this is quite a decent group to surround yourself with.
Mikielle Bellange
I'll give the correct answer: "The game didn't begin for me until I joined CotP."
Weldy
Thanks that is what I was looking for. Thank you for the reply. Still haven't decided if I'm going to extend it or not just yet.
ArsenixTG
No worries Weldy! Glad we were able to give you some insight at least
FataliaMor
One of the biggest things I enjoy is the MASSIVE amount of content available whether you are playing with a group or soloing. There is always something to do. Feel like killing internet monsters with others? Cool, there are many dungeons, primals and coils to do with FC members or via duty finder / party finder. Feel like lone wolfing it? Cool, can work on crafting, gathering, relic weapons, beastmen dailies, fate grinding, etc. The options seem endless, and repetition is minimal imo. I have always disliked buying $60 games only to be finished with them in a matter of days. For $15 a month this game has so much content that you really don't need to buy any others, so I feel like I save money. Also, the ability to do as many jobs as you want without rolling an alt character is a biggie for me. Edited March 3, 2015 by FataliaMor
