It's been over 70 days since the virus spread across the globe.  For lack of a better word, the scientific community labeled the virus as the zombe viurs.  A person infected with the zombism virus is transformed into a single-minded hunting machine, with all changes to bodily functions serving the zombic imperative: locate prey, capture prey and feed.

The zombie virus is also known to infect doberman dogs, turning friendly house hold pets into viscous killing machines.  Rumor has it that if you stare them in the eye while slowly waking up to them saying "nice doggie"  or "you're a good boy, yes, you are."   that they won't attack.  This Zombie dog trick hasn't been confirmed yet, but I am willing to let Bakath try it.

Bakath, Nighthawk and I managed to survive the initial zombie onslaught which had wiped out around 90% of the world's population.  We quickly stuffed a few items into our backpacks and headed for the remote forest thinking it would be safer.  Boy, were we wrong.  In the early weeks we lived a semi nomadic life, staying in caves, abandon buildings and even spots we dug underground.  Our first real home was a tool shed made out of sheet metal.  The place was small, but it provided shelter long enough for us to build a two story stone building.

Around this time Manny and Silver reached our little haven.  Manny said our haven wasn't as safe as we thought, so we started harvesting supplies and scouted for a new location. Bakath found a nice stone house with a pool in the South.  After living in squalor for the last 2 months, the thought of living in a fully furnished home with comforts sounded very appealing.  The decision was made and we are going to try to make the house our new base now.  We are in the process of building a stone wall around the home and other defenses.

We will try to post some screenshots later.

CotP refugees and friends are welcome to join our group or you can form your own group if you want.  Rhaen, Azog and a friend have a small settlement in the North.

    Day 87

With my mates away on an excursion our new home was over run by endless hordes of undead. Being alone and without supplies I have moved to the remains of a once great city in search of items to keep me alive. The nights are long and the dead are everywhere but by day I am able to move from building to building gather supplies. Food is scarce and I grow weaker each day but still I push on in the hopes to once again reunite with my friends. If I am able to survive I should have enough materials to build a new more secure base that is easier to defend. For now the sun is setting and I can hear the hordes closing in so I must find a safe heaven for the night, hopefully I will live to see the sunrise.

Bakath, I died in the small cave in the the pit.  I left my pack there and logged off.  The house block is in my pack if you need it.

We need to dig the trench asap or go on a salvage run and try to find all the auger parts.

Hey guys. I haven't logged onto Cotp yet, but if the map is the same as Navezgane, there is a farm house at 375N 316E. It has a massive field of corn. It is right next to a small neighborhood that is up for looting and is quick access to several other biomes. Go into the basement and dig straight down.

The new base took some hits last night, but it survived.  I framed out the corners to get a visual of what we intend to do with the tower.    We could just leave the top part alone and maybe use it to farm or we could add another level and place the farm there.  The 2 lower levels are ready to move in.   Ginger is also digging down to create more rooms which will provide the most security.

We need to focus on creating ammo and guns.

Are you guys still down for digging the whole place down to the bedrock? We could put the farm up in the base so that it will be safe.

I find myself walking aimlessly around the ruined landscape of carnage.  Zombies slowly following me.  From the open fields with low cliffs to the blasted area of what was left of a city, night is coming.  I tuck away and ride it out.

Our beds are now made out of stone. We are down to rations. I can hear them hissing and spitting and trying to claw their way to us. We hunker down into what we hope is a safe haven, far, far beneath their grasp. We have what we need to make it through the night..or so I hope.

When I get home I am going to put some chests (Yes organized Damis and Ginger) outside the mine workshop with goodies for whomever needs them, weapons, armor, building materials etc.

My only ask is please leave the ones inside alone so I know what I have and need while I am out to continue to fill the outside ones. The exception of course would be the ones next to the forges with the molds etc you will need while smelting.

There's only a couple inside now as someone whom I can not name without incriminating myself (doh) was playing with making a water fountain and might have washed away a lot of supplies and boxes this morning    :punish2:  Just do not tell Damis he might be waiting to kill me when I log in.

Also if you are missing a piece to complete a weapon let me know and I can check my stock to see if I have it. If you want to donate pieces to the community weapon / armor found that would also be great, leather seems to be in short supply.

Bakath completed the entrance and bridge to our stronghold and it looks pretty impressive. We need to get a screenshot of it.

A large farming platform was added and attached to the stronghold so Eendiwena and others can farm in a some what safe area.

Ginger and Silver expanded the Underground Sanctuary to make room for more members.

Jakari, Grim, Ginger and Bakath leveled the pit area and filled in the holes. More torches were added in the pit area so it is easier to shoot the zombies or run from them.

Grim added more barb wire to the structures which seems like a never ending job, since the zombies damage it every night.

Manny mined a lot of ore and coal which bakath and jakari used to make ammo for everyone.

Vessa and others looted the nearby towns.

And lastly, it appears Bakath is in competition with Silver in who breaks their leg the most.

    Two things:

The chests around the forges in the basement, mainly the one above the iron forge, are community property.  These forges are to help break down things semi quickly.  The chest on the ground to the right of the iron forge infront of my room is my donation dumped spot when i roll in, anyone can take anything out of there they want.  You can even drop it in the correct chests uptop if you feel compelled.

Second:  Ginger added a safe house to the town to the NNE, i added a safe house in the town to the NW inside a steel building on the southern edge and another safe house to the town in the SW, roughly 890, 2700, in a steel building there in the mountains.  More will be added as we go.

I added 3 gun safes last night. I have organized them with their ammo so that you no longer have to go to several chests to collect what you need. I have moved the makings of ammo to the ammo crate.

Eendiwena and I collected tons of furniture and I made several desks for those who like to decorate their spaces. I will continue to look for more items on my runs.

I also took a trip into the mine that was dug into in the back and almost died from some spawns. To prevent them from possibly coming in, I made a steel wall and door to keep our area save. I will probably start digging in the other direction under our base to complete what we had planned. I had already wanted to have a place for mining downstairs so the mine find worked out, just in a bad place.

Feel free to make any adjustments or changes to anything that I completed last night.
