    I had Dave Arneson as an instructor for one of my college classes. We asked him what he thought of those days. His response was "I wasn't as hurt as you might think. The people who were going to play were going to find ways to play. All the books that were being buried and burned... well, people were buying them off the shelves to do so! So long as they had money to keep buying, it made sure we had the profit to keep printing. It was very good for business."
