Drogon Posted April 19, 2016 Share Posted April 19, 2016 I wanted to bring up the discussion of inviting outsiders to join our mumble. For most it is not an issue but there are certainly others that should not be invited to join us in our channels, namely people from enemy settlements. We should probably be using the private channels like members lounge or ops, so I would like to be granted along with a few others privileges to be able to pull desired people down channel if the are grouping with us. I believe that it is a CoTP policy to continue to use our mumble for grouping with others versus going to someone else's voice comms so we need to figure out the best way to do that yet maintain operation security along with the comfort of some of our current members in mumble. I think having us hang out in private channels with more people having privileges would help. Any thoughts? Cheatle how can we gain privileges? However, giving a Sentry that ability may be unprecedented for CoTP, I do not really know. Maybe it is time to nominate Drogon for promotion to Knight? We would rather not just give access to Mumble to non CotP members. There are instances where it is appropriate tho. 2) Regarding move rights, there are two levels of move rights, depending on ones rank within CotP. We do give move rights to those that can show a verifiable need, with the game chapters recommendation. This does not mean that we just give everyone in a particular chapter, because a chapter leader recommends it, but we can discuss how many folks actually need it, based on the chapters actual needs. I don't think we need multiple others to have this ability.... If you want to talk to me in person, I will be on later today....
