Well since I didn't feel like doing a whole lot more exploring until next patch I decided to try my hand at some farming. I bought the biggest potting bed available thinking I would be able to place it down along the 2-story in Valemark. It didn't fit :(. So I had to place it on top of my tower. Next time I best think before jumpin in. Anyhow I've harvest over 100 cotton and it is saving some time from having to search for the plants.

It sounds like some PoT's will be trying to corner the market for different mats. I've already had folks passing by say you can get that resource at such and such for 6 gold a piece. Anyhow just another reason for me to test this pre-alpha game. :)

Yeah, it's not too bad. I grew some reagents in the valemark pots. Gotta learn more about keeping them watered, as seed cost + water determines how much you save growing vs buying.

I did some research and I think I can get a couple large raised beds down alongside the guild house. Each bed should hold 20 plots each. I was just going to put in cotton with some apples and pumpkins mixed in the first batch. Anyone need certain reagents grown that they are low on?

I am currently buying cotton to work on my textiles and haven't looked at the other veges or fruits. I have managed to collect some pumpkins, lettuce and onions but have no idea what to do with them yet (and may have thrown them out because I was low on bank space.)

Cotton prices per 100 seem to range from 1250-2300+, so sometimes it pays to shop around if you are in the market. Not sure what the cost of production is if you plant and harvest them for your own use. A side benefit of growing your own would be the increased chance to get the bugs for the caraprican (or whatever the advanced cloth is called.)

Can you plant mandrake and nightshade? Those 2 seem to be common in spells from what I can remember.

Ok looks like I can place at least 2 large beds on each side and 2 mediums along the front. I will get some mandrake and nightshade planted when I start growing the cotton. Looks like we may be able to have 100 plants growing per cycle.

I have 4 large beds placed by the guild house and 2 mediums on the front. There is room if anyone wants to plant their own seeds. You will have to water your own though. The large beds hold 20 plants and the medium 10.
