Mumble Admin – Register and Tag a User

Make sure both of these sections are complete to set up a user properly for their access to the CotP Mumble Server rooms.

Register a User in Mumble


By default, this privilege is limited to the SuperUser account or the people the SuperUser assigns these privileges to in the Admin group.

Follow these steps to register a member for access to the Mumble server rooms.

1. Right click on the name of the user you want to Register.

2. Select Register from the menu that pops up.

3. A confirmation window will pop up; confirm to Register this user.

Now this person is Registered. Next, add a tag to their name.


Add Tags To Names

By default, this privilege is limited to the SuperUser account or the people the SuperUser assigns these privileges to in the Admin group.

Examples: [CotP]Name or [Knight]Name

1. Click Server, Registered Users, from the menu.

2. Scroll to the very bottom of the list to find the new user.
The new registered user names will be at the bottom of the list until a tag is applied. Once a tag is applied, the user name will appear with the other names in alphabetical order.

3. Right Click
on the user name that you wish to change.

4. Select Rename from the pop up menu.

5. Make the changes to the name by adding the correct tag, make sure you add the brackets. Examples: [CotP]Name or [Knight]Name

6. Click OK.

7. Instruct the user to Disconnect from the server, and then Connect again, this sets the new changes to their account.
